Looks sporty, doesn't it? I can't understand why BMW doesn't build something like this themselves.
Fritz Halbfeld (left) and Klaus Pepperl (right), the remaining founders who now run the company.
I don't like the cockpit of the original HPN, so I designed it differently.
Something exotic from the HPN workshop: this swingarm with monoshock was developed specifically for the Pharaoh's Rally and was also intended to run at Paris-Dakar.
Here is a side view. Currently HPN is working on fitting the R1100GS swingarm into the HPN; unfortunately the aluminium cast swingarm is also not as sturdy as the old monolever.
Here are the first images of the HPN four-valve boxer rally motorcycle.
It has already had its first outing – but it is not for sale (and probably won't be for some time).
View into the cockpit.
A historic image – Paris-Dakar Rally 1985, victory on the HPN.
